CLUB OVERVIEW:

            The Down Da Bayou Redfish Club (DBRC) will host four invitational tournaments throughout the year. A fifth championship tournament will be held at the end of the tournament cycle. The club will meet annually to discuss club direction and agenda. Fees collected will be used to promote the club and to host tournaments and to provide larger payouts for tournaments.

CLUB RULES:

  1. Membership shall be good through December of each year.
  2. Majority rules on all club decisions; the club president will break all ties.
  3. Entry fee to the club will be $20.
  4. 10% of each tournament’s entries fees shall be collected for Club funds. 

TOURNAMENT RULES:

  1. Entry Fee for tournaments shall be $50 per boat.
  2. All State, Federal, and Local Laws apply.
  3. Only members and non-members in good standing may participate.
  4. Fish must be caught on artificial lures. No bait is allowed
  5. No one will be allowed to leave the designated launch by any other means than by boat.
  6. Check out and check in times shall be 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM respectively unless changed by Tournament director.
  7. Slot size for redfish shall be 16” to 27” Tail pinched
  8. Every effort must be made to keep fish alive. A 4 oz deduction will be assessed for each dead fish.
  9. A team can only bring two fish to the scales. It is the team's responsibility to determine which fish is heaviest. If it is determined that a fish is too long, the team will be allowed to weigh in one more fish. If it is determined that the second fish is too long, the team will not be allowed to weigh in another fish. Only one fish will count.
  10. A tie shall be broken by the first team to return to designated launch
  11. The President is the Weight Master and Tournament Director of all club tournaments. His decisions are final.
  12. Two or three fisherman allowed per boat. You do not have to fish with the same team for each tournament. Points are accrued by each fisherman based on his/her team’s place in each tournament.
  13. There will be a Championship Tournament at the end of each year on a date determined by board members and agreed on by participants.
  14. Anyone who fishes in three tournaments will qualify for the championship.
  15. Only members in good standing shall be allowed to participate in the Championship.
  16. Life Jackets must be worn while engine is in operation.
  17. The points champion at the end of the tournament cycle will earn free entry fees for all 2009 tournaments.
  18. Points shall be given as follows:

Big red* à $50

            *Big red shall be a legal redfish for the tournament. (27” Tail pinched). Payouts will be adjusted by the numbers of boats that enter a tournament.

 

TERMS AND CONDITONS: 

1.        The risk of injury and/or death is possible at all DBRC events. The tournament director, board members and/or club members are not responsible for any injuries and/or deaths that occur.

2.        You assume all risk, known and unknown, even if they occur due to the negligence of the releasers or any others, and you accept all responsibility.

3.        You agree with all conditions set forth by your participation in the DBRC events. You have the right to remove yourself from any event if you feel the situation warrants such action. By participating in an event you acknowledge the potential for danger in an event that is subject to unpredictable weather conditions and related events.

4.        You hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Down DA Bayou Redfish Club director, board members, sponsors, member and all that may be associated with these events, with respect to any and all injury, disability and death or loss or damage to person(s) or property, whether arising from the release's otherwise to the fullest extent of the law.

5.        It is the responsibility of the participant in every DBRC event to obtain his or her own insurance.

6.        You give your consent to the DBRC to use any picture taken at a DBRC events to be used by the DBRC to promote the club and/or DBRC events.

7.        You have read the release of liability and assumption of agreement and fully understand the terms and conditions.

8.        You  understand that you have given up substantial rights by agreeing and agree to it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
