TOURNAMENT RULES:

  1. Entry Fee for tournaments shall be $50 per boat.
  2. All State, Federal, and Local Laws apply.
  3. Only members and non-members in good standing may participate.
  4. Fish must be caught on artificial lures. No bait is allowed.
  5. No one will be allowed to leave the designated launch by any other means than by boat.
  6. Check out and check in times shall be 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM respectively unless changed by Tournament director.
  7. Slot size for redfish shall be 16” to 27” Tail pinched
  8. Every effort must be made to keep fish alive. A 4 oz deduction will be assessed for each dead fish.
  9. A team can only bring two fish to the scales. It is the team's responsibility to determine which fish is heaviest. If it is determined that a fish is too long, the team will be allowed to weigh in one more fish. If it is determined that the second fish is too long, the team will not be allowed to weigh in another fish. Only one fish will count.
  10. A tie shall be broken by the first team to return to designated launch
  11. The President,Weight Master and Tournament Director of all club tournaments decision is final.
  12. Two or three fisherman allowed per boat. You do not have to fish with the same team for each tournament. Points are accrued by each fisherman based on his/her team’s place in each tournament.
  13. There will be a Championship Tournament at the end of each year on a date determined by board members and agreed on by participants.
  14. Only members in good standing shall be allowed to participate in the Championship.
  15. Life Jackets must be worn while engine is in operation.
  16. The points leader at the end of regular season will be crowned the clun Champion and receive free entry fees to all 2009 DBRC tournaments. (NEW for 2008)
  17. Points shall be given as follows:

1st  à 100 points    2nd à 99 points    3rd à 98 points ……

You have to weigh in at least one fish to collect points.

Only your top three tournaments (lowest finish, not weight) will count for your total score. Your score follows the fisherman and not the team. The points will determine the club Champion and will receive free entry fees for all 2009 tournaments. In the event of a tie, your total weight in the your three top finishing tournaments will break the tie.

  1. Tournament payouts shall be as followed:

One place paid for every five boats entered. Payouts are based on 30 boats and are as follows:

            *Big red shall be a legal redfish for the tournament. (27” w/ tail pinched). Payout will be adjusted by the number of boats that enter the tournament.
